Got a couple of news items in the “visuals” department today.

Firstl off, Jeff Buchanan has posted some awesome photos from the Hardball Cafe in Milton, ON.

Second, bassist Jack Syperek has a painting up for grabs on eBay. It’s to benefit Song For Africa. Bid away.

Tuesday update

Posted in Uncategorized on April 21, 2009 by fleetingtrust

Not a hell of a lot to post today. The US tour is winding down this week. There are some pics up on the Trews Flick Group from the show on April 17 in Rochester.

The Trews are twittering away and from there we can see that they are shooting a music video today, presumably for Can’t Stop Laughing. Obviously, we’ll post that here when it’s released. For now, here’s a video of the guys playing Stray almost 5 years ago in Burlington, with a short cover of Reef’s Place Your Hands and an absolutely ridiculous John-Angus guitar solo.

Bold Concert Series Pt. 2

As you might have already seen on The Trews’ Official Website, a one-hour version of their acoustic show at the Glenn Gould theatre in Toronto will air tonight on CBC’s Bold in Canada. I previously reported that it would air last Sunday, April 12, but I was mistaken – blame Bold’s online schedule for that. Anyway, it’s on at 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Tune in people, if you’ve got the channel. I don’t, so I’ll be watching the NBA Playoffs tonight and awaiting the release of the acoustic show on DVD.

New (Old) Interview

Posted in Uncategorized on April 15, 2009 by fleetingtrust

Heya. Not a whole lot of news to report the last couple of days, but I’ve stumbled upon a 4-part video interview from Zed 99 in Alberta. Sounds like it was done around the time The Trews were touring with Ace Frehley, so it’s not as current as some of the other stuff I’ve been posting. Still, worth a watch. This morning I’ve got another live video update for ya. These ones are courtesy of Kendra Hettrich. Here we have two from The Trews show in Brantford, Ontario on December 3, 2008. If you are a Rolling Stones fan, I’m sure you’ll appreciate these – You Can’t Always Get What You Want and Gimme Shelter. As well, we’ve got Sing Your Heart Out, the newest Trews song, live from the Town Ballroom in Buffalo on February 13, 2009.

Here’s You Can’t Always Get What You Want, click Read More for the others.

More Interviews

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on April 13, 2009 by fleetingtrust

I’ve got a few more Trews interviews for ya today – text, audio, and video! First of all, you can read an interview with Colin MacDonald at All Access Magazine, conducted as they were starting their current US tour.

Second, John-Angus MacDonald guested on the Fantalk podcast just a couple of days ago. Skip to about 5 minutes in to hear the interview with J-A. If you’re a Trews expert, you probably won’t learn anything new, but you might get a laugh or two out of it.

Third, there’s a five-part video interview at BiteTV, filmed at the Bovine in Toronto. It’s great stuff and I’m kinda surprised I hadn’t come across this thing before, it was posted in December! Here are the links:
